With a 3 axis G-sensor on this camera it will detect any sudden increase in g-force that would normally be trigger by an event such as heavy breaking, swerving or an impact. This will prompt the camera to lock the footage of that time, ensuring it can't be overwritten later and that you have evidence of what occurred on the roads should it be needed. With motion detection you needn't remember to start recording as when it detects something moving in the foreground it can automatically commence recording.

A 1/3 inch CMOS sensor in the front facing camera along with an f1.9 rating allows this dash cam to work well in low lighting, so with your headlights on it will happily record at night.
